The Gallery at Rheged opened on 12 March 2011 and attracts on average nearly 2000 visitors per month. The rolling programme of 5 exhibitions per year includes art, photography and craft of regional significance. The Gallery was officially launched by eminent writer Cate Haste in May 2011.
The Gallery also features a shop selling beautifully hand-crafted British ceramics, jewellery, textiles, handbags and home ware together with a Cumbria Culture and Arts Information Station.
