This year Rheged is supporting Hutton International Horse Trials.  
The Horse Trials at Hutton in the Forest near Penrith are well known as great sporting events, drawing competitors and spectators from far and wide to enjoy excellent competition in a beautiful location. 

International Horse Trials are truly exciting events, with top names such as Zara Phillips, Pippa Funnell and William Fox-Pitt competing in the three demanding and very different disciplines of Dressage, Cross Country and Show Jumping. Plus lots of activities for the whole family including celebrity book signings, treasure hunts, demonstrations and presentations by Cumbria's best food producers, country clothing, home and garden and equestrian suppliers. 

There are three action packed events:

18 -20 - June Picnic in the Park 

24-25 July - Worldwide Wine Weekend THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED

11 - 12 September - Young Farmers It's a knockout!

 You can purchase discounted advance tickets(from Rheged Box Office 01768 860014) and even order a picnic from Taste at Rheged, which will be delivered to the park on the day of the event.
