Happy Birthday Rheged - We are 10!

This summer at Rheged we celebrate our 10th birthday! We will be marking the occasion with merriment and festivity all summer long, starting with our Big Birthday Bash on Saturday 17th July.  Join us at our family fun events, which have got even bigger and better, filling those long summer holidays with some fab activities for everyone and all ages.

Every Wednesday we have exciting new activity to try out, you can make your own Animation with Dark Fire, try some Samba grooves with BeatLife Drumming, create fab photos with Kids with Cameras, have a go at Bollywood Dancing with Manasamitra and even learn to become a Cheerleader with our local troop Penrith All Stars.
We haven't forgotten the little ones, if you have a child under 5 years, come along to Music Makers for an enjoyable musical experience for grown ups and children together.

Every Monday be prepared to get messy with glue and glitter, drop into our Family Fun Room to make Monsters, Grass Heads, Rainsticks, Fairy wings, Hobbit Swords, Holiday Picture Frames and Paint your own Baseball Cap. With a different activity each week check out the diary here.

Our Mad Hatter's Tea Parties were such a success at Easter they're back for summer with three dates to choose from: Tuesday 27th July, 10th and 24th August. These popular events sell out fast so book now by calling 01768 868000.

Our popular programme of children's theatre continues with the lovable story of How the Koala Learnt to Hug and we may not know who Dorothy is yet but you can 'Follow the Yellow Brick Road' when the Wizard of Oz joins us over the August Bank Holiday.

And if all that isn't enough to choose from we will be hosting the Tate Movie Truck. Working with Aardman Animation of Wallace and Gromit fame the Tate Movie Project are making a children's movie by children, so come along on 14th August* for free to get involved.
