In this class you will create a beautiful etching, full of lines and tones, using mostly Nontoxic materials. You will be working with hard ground to create lines and aquatints to create tone. Once the plate is made, you will be inking and printing in several different ways so you can go home with prints and the plate.

Jenny is from a well-known family of printmakers, who are nationally recognised for inventing the Gunning Etching Presses. Jenny has been printmaking since she was 7 years old and has her own printmaking studios and Gallery in Ironbridge. Here Jenny creates her own work and runs workshops in all forms of printmaking, both traditional and contemporary. Jenny, whose work is a key part of this year’s Great Print 8 Exhibition, has developed some incredible ways of registering plates, inking, and printing to make printmaking accessible to all.

The price includes all the materials you will use. All you need to bring are a selection of A4 or A5 drawings or photographs to use for your prints. Please bring an Aprons and marigold gloves or nitrile gloves for inking and wear old clothes which you don’t mind getting ink on.
