Join renowned printmaker Polly Marix Evans for an immersive linocut workshop, where you’ll learn to combine hand-carved letters with complementary images to create your own unique prints.
You will design your own block with a combination of lettering and images, involving reversing images, carving and then printing using lino cut techniques. Whether you’re new to printmaking or looking to enhance your printing skills, this workshop will allow you to explore creative lettering with lino cut, under the expert guidance of professional artist, Polly Marix Evans.
All materials are included, just wear old clothes or bring and apron, as well as any inspiration images and ideas you would like to work from. Unused pieces of lino can be taken home to produce more linocuts after the course!
Polly has been a practicing printmaker for over 30 years. Her work is regularly shown at the annual Great Print Exhibition in Rheged's Gallery, with her Bun-Head character easily recognisable and now much loved by many. She’s been sharing her love of printmaking for many years through school residencies and workshops for adults.
