In this Spring themed class, learn how to design, carve, and print your own lino blocks, in a variety of single colours, onto cards and printmaking paper. Liz will also demonstrate how to lino print at home without the use of a printing press. You will go away with cards which can be used for any occasion or just to say thank you.This is a great introduction to lino printing and suitable for beginners as well as those with some experience.

Cumbrian based artist Liz Jones is a printmaker, textile designer and experienced tutor. Liz sell her work in the shop of the senses at Rheged and is also one of the artists exhibiting in Great Print 9 . This exhibition is in our main Gallery at Rheged until 3 March. Liz works mainly in linocut to create original block printed fabric designs, which she screen prints onto linen and cotton.

All materials including soft cut lino, tools, printing ink, cards and paper will be provided
