Learn how to create and carve a linocut design and block print it onto fabric. Liz will give guidance throughout this process and help participants to make a lantern using their printed fabric.
The class is suitable for beginners as well as those with some experience.
Cumbrian based artist Liz Jones is a printmaker, textile designer and experienced tutor. Liz has also exhibited her work in the Gallery at Rheged. Liz works mainly in linocut to create original block printed fabric designs, which she screen prints onto linen and cotton.
All materials including soft cut lino, tools, printing ink, fabric and lantern making kits will be provided.
