We are proud to be hosting this Commited to Rock concert in support of Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Profits will be donated to the charity in support of one of our lovely Rheged colleagues, Elisabeth Messenger, whose husband, Richard, 52, was diagnosed with MND last February. Richard is a local dairy farmer from The Howes, Calthwaite, where he farms with his wife Elisabeth and their four children - Will, James, Emily and Eddie.
The MND Association are a membership organisation with 1000 members forming a powerful national and local network that fund and promote global research into the disease and provide support for those affected. They have over 7,000 amazing active volunteers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and around 170 paid staff, all dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by MND, now and in the future.
Formed back in 2008, the popular Cumbrian choir “Committed 2 Rock” began in Whitehaven by Cathy Marcangelo. The choir sing all styles of contemporary rock and pop feel good favourites that will have you dancing in the aisles.
Performing and raising funds for charities, notable appearances include the world renowned Maryport Blues festival, Paint The Town Red, and sell-out concerts at Keswick Theatre by the Lake, and Rosehill Theatre.
