in our cinema + gallery
Our spacious modern gallery and giant-screen cinema have been adapted to suit the times. Expand your mind but keep your distance with pre-booked time-slotted gallery entry and Covid-secure cinema seat booking.
We’re delighted to bring you the 6th Great Print Exhibition, our bespoke annual celebration of the art of printmaking. This year’s exhibition features 65 UK artists and nearly 900 works to view and buy, including screen prints, woodcuts, linocuts, collographs and cyanotypes. Book online for guaranteed priority entry, bookings can however also be made at the gallery desk subject to availability. To ensure the gallery remains a safe and enjoyable space, we have reduced the number of visitors in the gallery at any one time.
The season’s new releases are supersized on our immersive 60-foot screen, including A Christmas Carol with an A-list voice cast. Be transported to the National Theatre for encore showings of War Horse and Fleabag. Highlights of our family-friendly festive event cinema programme include The Royal Ballet’s Nutcracker at the Royal Opera House and Katherine Jenkins’s Christmas Extravaganza at the Royal Albert Hall.

Rheged’s shops are loved by people who seek out the beautiful, the unusual, the ethical, the local and the crafted. They’re restocked with distinctive clothing, skincare, homewares, stationery, toys and textiles, ready to help you find meaningful gifts for loved ones – or a treat for yourself.
Food, drink, kitchenware
Our deli brings together local and handmade products including beers, gins, honeys, oils & vinegars, pastas, preserves and cookware. Its takeaway counter sells our Cumberland sausage rolls, freshly made sandwiches, toasties and cakes from our bakery alongside locally roasted speciality coffees.
To ensure social distancing and keep customers and colleagues safe, we’ve taken the difficult decision to keep both indoor and outdoor play areas closed for now. And while the Christmas decorations will be up, sadly Santa is keeping his distance too this year – but he’ll be back in 2021. We are very aware of how much families value our play areas and events and will keep the situation under review as Covid-19 restrictions evolve.
