Open daily 10am-5pm from Friday 19 January
In January, following the Libby Edmondson retrospective exhibition in the main Gallery (Sept-Nov 23), we decided to open a Print Shop close to the Gallery itself, as we were just not ready to say goodbye to Libby’s joyful and colourful artwork.
Here you will find over 20 different limited edition Lake District Landscapes available to buy as well as Libby’s hare and cheetah sculptures. The prints are on archival paper and available as small or large framed or unframed prints (mounted or in tubes) or you may prefer a canvas.
All the artwork is available to take away on the day of your visit and prices start from £110. You simply fill in the order form and take it the Gallery Desk where the team will be delighted to help.
Libby was an enormously talented Artist, who from 2000 lived in Levens, near Kendal with her husband, Nigel. Here Libby became a full-time artist and painted over 270 artworks, the majority of which were sold as soon as they were completed. Libby found the Lake District landscape both geographically and spiritually enriching.
Her ability to draw the topography of the landscape with such accuracy is astonishing , but it is how she interpreted the landscape in her own unique style and her distinctive use of bold and vibrant colour that resonates with so many.
