5.45pm Guest arrive for 6pm start in Screen 2 followed by refreshments and networking in Gather until 8.30pm.
Join us for a warm, joy filled evening at Rheged as we celebrate the launch of Season 4 of Sukany4: The Walk and Talk Podcast & its 2 year anniversary.
What started as one woman, one mic and a slightly wild idea to record business conversations outdoors has become a growing podcast community of guests, walkers, listeners, independent artists, local businesses, supporters and people for whom your story might be just what they need to hear today!
Sukany4: The Walk and Talk Podcast is not your typical business podcast. Each episode is recorded while walking and talking through the landscapes, towns, parks, coastlines and community spaces that hold us and mould us. It is about showcasing the personality behind the business, about identity, courage, creativity, belonging, resilience, reinvention, community and the grassroots stories behind what people build.
The Season 4 Launch Party is a chance to gather in real life and celebrate the guests who share so generously in this new chapter.
The evening will open with an exclusive screening sharing the journey of the podcast so far, the heart behind Season 4, and a first look at what is coming next. The screening will include a live Q&A to get to know your host, Sukanya - hosted by Ulverston based Lara Roocroft (S4 guest).
Expect stories from people doing brave, creative and things deeply rooted in community, from founders and artists to community builders, changemakers and people who have walked through a lot to get to where they are now.
You will also be introduced to the independent artist whose music will shape the sound of Season 4, Kendal based Neil Stevenson. Music has always been one of the three pillars of Sukany4: The Walk and Talk Podcast, alongside the guest and the walk, and each season gives space to an artist whose sound becomes part of the story.
After the screening, we will gather in Rheged’s beautiful space for drinks, nibbles and relaxed conversation. No stiff networking. No awkward name badge energy. Just good people, gentle connection, a bit of celebration, and probably a few “I’ve been meaning to message you” moments.
Whether you have been part of the podcast from the beginning, discovered it recently, appeared as a guest, shared an episode, recommended it on a walk, or are simply curious about the stories being told across Cumbria and beyond, you are warmly invited.
At the heart of Sukany4: The Walk and Talk Podcast is a simple belief: our stories can help people feel less alone, more hopeful, and more connected to what is possible.
Season 4 is about walking into the next version of the podcast with more of the good stuff, more community and a little bit more sparkle....and video content!
